Introducing the Latest Addition to Our Software Team

We’re excited to welcome Puneesh Kapoor as our newest Software Intern at SynchroGrid! Puneesh brings a strong passion for power systems, cybersecurity, and renewable energy, along with a well-rounded engineering mindset that makes him a valuable addition to our team.

Originally from Katy, Texas, Puneesh is currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University. His interest in the field began with a love for computer systems and computer science. Over time, he developed a desire to see his work have real-world impact—leading him to the power industry. Recognizing how vital energy infrastructure is to society, Puneesh was drawn to power systems for their tangible, wide-reaching effects.

Puneesh’s previous experience includes working as an engineering intern at Aquila Engineering, where he developed automations using over five years of backlogged data to assess component health on oil rig BOP stacks. He also served as an undergraduate researcher in labs focused on power grid cyber-physical reliability and consumer cybersecurity. His background demonstrates not only technical skill but also a strong foundation in both data analysis and real-world applications.

Drawn to SynchroGrid’s unique position in the power industry and its meaningful work with utilities, Puneesh is eager to contribute to impactful projects while deepening his knowledge of power systems and non-digital engineering disciplines. His goal is to become more proficient in areas like schematics, calculations, and hardware design—expanding beyond his current strengths in coding.

Outside of work, Puneesh leads TAMU F.U.S.D., a freestyle dance club where he teaches and practices breakdancing. He also enjoys volleyball, reading, and has ambitions to learn more languages—and maybe even adopt a cat or a ferret after graduation!

Please join us in giving Puneesh a warm welcome to the SynchroGrid family!
