Here at SynchroGrid, we take great pride in our vibrant company culture. In our home office, located in Bryan, TX, employees enjoy monthly social events and team lunches. For our remote employees, we offer opportunities to participate in company-wide activities like scavenger hunts, Halloween costume contests, and gingerbread house competitions. However, we also understand that culture is more than fun activities and free food. One of the most important parts of a company’s culture is its work-life balance, and we at SynchroGrid strive to provide our employees with the best work-life balance possible. We allow employees to start their workday any time between 7:00-9:00am and sign off any time between 4:00-6:00pm in their respective time zones, as long as they have worked the required eight hours for that workday. Additionally, we permit non-exempt employees to miss up to two hours of work time per day by working additional hours on another day (or days) within the same workweek. These policies allow our employees to be present and active in their families’ lives without eating away at their PTO.
One of our company’s core values is innovation, and it’s an outlook we encourage with all of our employees. We’ve developed our own in-house software called SARA, which automates functions of relay setting development to avoid error and save time, and the software is already being used by us internally as well as by clients such as Oncor Electric, LCRA, and others.
