SARA 3.7.0 is Available!

SARA 3.7.0 is now available, delivering enhanced capabilities for Wide Area Coordination (WAC), along with key usability improvements and performance updates to further optimize protection engineering workflows. This release introduces automatic resolution of coordination issues to the WAC module. It also brings expanded filtering for better system visibility and refinements to study methodologies.

  • Enhanced Wide Area Coordination (WAC) Automation
    • New functionality automatically applies protection equations and philosophies to resolve WAC constraint violations, reducing manual effort and accelerating coordination studies.
  • Expanded WAC Dashboard Filtering
    • Added the ability to filter by Bus Groups, as well as toggle between originally selected buses and affected buses for improved system analysis and clarity.
  • Updated CTI Study Methodology
    • Introduced a fastest-primary and fastest-backup evaluation approach when full combination enforcement is not selected, enabling more practical and flexible coordination assessments.
  • Usability & Interface Improvements
    • Added Appendix folder generation for individual WAC reports
    • Improved dashboard readability by omitting signal-only elements
    • Enhanced navigation and workflow consistency across WAC tools
    • Updated “Verify Settings” popups with clearer study insights and affected study filtering
    • Added relay variable descriptions in Transmission Line workflows
    • Centralized report template preferences for easier configuration
    • Added logging functionality within preferences to support faster troubleshooting
  • Bug Fixes & Performance Enhancements
    • This release also includes multiple fixes to improve stability and reliability, addressing issues related to report generation, model exports, template creation, relay naming, and WAC navigation workflows.
