Empowering Engineers: Texas A&M Conference Highlights
We are grateful to have been a part of the Texas A&M Conference for Protective Relay Engineers once again. Big thanks to the dedicated staff who organized the event and to our team for their commitment to attending sessions, presentations, and booth times.
Pre-Conference Seminar
During the pre-conference seminar, we engaged in discussions focused on streamlining relay settings development using SARA templates and optimizing performance through data-driven approaches. This led to forward-thinking explorations of how AI and ML could revolutionize the industry, highlighting SynchroGrid’s potential to leverage these technologies for future advancements. The session concluded with a presentation from ASPEN, showcasing the latest in relay settings technology. Overall, the seminar provided a valuable platform for industry leaders to exchange ideas and shape the trajectory of power systems management.
Presentation
In our paper presentation, titled “Employing Graph Traversal Techniques to Simplify Three- and Multi-Terminal Line Applications,” we addressed the challenges faced by protection engineers in setting relays for complex power systems. We highlighted the complexities of three-terminal and multi-terminal applications, proposing the use of graph traversal algorithms to automate line setting calculations. It was great to see so many familiar and new faces at our presentation. Thank you to everyone who came out!
Exhibit Hall
During our booth time at the exhibit hall, we had the pleasure of connecting with numerous individuals, delving deep into our services and software. It was great reconnecting with familiar faces, including valued clients and partners, while also forming new connections with attendees who were eager to learn more about our offerings.
We are already looking forward to next year’s Texas A&M Conference for Protective Relay Engineers. See you all there!
