SynchroGrid Awarded A DOE Grant for Automation Research

We are excited to announce that SynchroGrid has been awarded a grant by the Department of Energy (DOE)!

This grant will be funding our research to expand our work into auto-tuning overcurrent elements and automating wide area coordination of protective elements – a solution which will greatly benefit electric utilities.

When accomplished, this work will bring great economic benefit to the utility industry by:

• Quickly expediting wide area coordination studies
• Minimizing misoperations due to improperly coordinated relays
• Significantly reducing the human labor necessary to achieve NERC PRC-027-1 compliance
• Simplifying NERC auditing processes
• Improving the overall reliability of the power system
