Meet Our Newest Business Development Manager

We’re thrilled to welcome John Swindlehurst to the SynchroGrid team as our new Business Development Manager! With his outstanding people skills and extensive expertise in both business and the power industry, John will undoubtedly be a valuable asset in promoting and selling our software solutions.

Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, John now calls Calgary home. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba, providing him with a solid foundation for understanding our technology and its applications.

Having followed SynchroGrid’s progress for years, John is deeply inspired by our commitment to innovation and our continuous growth. His values and passions, revolving around fostering motivated teams and embracing innovative technology, align seamlessly with SynchroGrid’s core values. John expresses, “It is great to be around passionate people that are proud of what they are doing.” He finds great fulfillment in learning about emerging technologies and exploring their practical applications in the marketplace.

In his new role, John aims to not only excel but also to enjoy the journey of learning and selling. With a career in the power industry, predominantly in business development and management, John brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Fun fact – he has been successfully working remotely since 2001.

Beyond his professional pursuits, John is an avid sports enthusiast. Whether it’s watching or participating, he enjoys a wide range of activities including hockey, pickleball, and paddleboarding. A few years ago, he even earned a black belt alongside his children. Family is at the center of John’s life; he’s been happily married since 1992 and is a proud parent to three adult children and three beloved dogs.
