Meet Our New Electrical Engineering Intern

SynchroGrid is excited to welcome Stephen Darwin as our Electrical Engineering Intern! He will be working with our design team for a summer and fall internship in Bryan, TX. Stephen is outgoing and quick to learn, which will be great strengths in this internship.

Originally from the Dallas area, including Carrollton, Murphy, and Plano, Stephen moved to College Station for college and hopes to stay long-term. He is currently studying Electrical Engineering with a specialization in power systems at Texas A&M University. He was inspired to pursue the power industry after an introductory power course at Texas A&M made practical sense to him.

Stephen’s passion for engineering was sparked by his love for mathematics, inspired by multiple high school math teachers, and his enjoyment of tinkering with things growing up. The appeal of interning at SynchroGrid was its location in Bryan/College Station, where he hopes to establish roots. He also knows several people who work at SynchroGrid and have spoken highly of the company.

Stephen looks forward to graduating, which he plans to do in Fall 2025. In the meantime, he is excited about getting his Aggie ring, one of the many Texas A&M traditions. Professionally, he looks forward to developing his design skills and his ability to understand the larger picture surrounding power systems engineering.

Outside of work and school, Stephen enjoys reading non-fiction and spending time with friends from church. Welcome to the team, Stephen!
