Dr. Teshnizi Returns to Lead SynchroGrid’s Software Team

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Reza Teshnizi, who worked at SynchroGrid many years ago, has rejoined SynchroGrid as our new Vice President of Software Development. With a wealth of experience and expertise, Dr. Teshnizi is poised to lead our software development team to new heights.

Dr. Teshnizi holds both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, one of the nation’s top engineering schools. He is a recognized researcher in topological analysis, formal methods, and robotics, and his academic achievements are complemented by an impressive industry track record.

During his previous tenure with SynchroGrid, Dr. Teshnizi played a pivotal role in the success of the SARA software development project. As the lead software development architect, he modernized the software, designed an intuitive and robust user interface, and oversaw the release of SARA v3. His contributions significantly enhanced the software’s functionality and user experience, leading to a notable increase in license sales. Additionally, he managed DevOps practices and introduced development conventions for the software team, promoting a clean, consistent, and maintainable codebase.

Some of Dr. Teshnizi’s notable accomplishments include:

  • Developing cutting-edge behavior modeling algorithms and software architecture for the US Army Future Command.
  • Introducing the first-ever algorithm for multi-robot navigation under topological constraints.
  • Creating a novel software architecture to enhance troubleshooting and auditing of portfolio database files at FactSet Inc.
  • Leading a team of software engineers that substantially reduced technical debt in a complex and large codebase at FactSet Inc.
  • Publishing several peer-reviewed papers on artificial intelligence and robotics in prestigious conferences and journals.
  • Winning the 2nd annual City of Houston hackathon by presenting a GIS software application to Mayor Parker.
