Come watch our paper presentation, “Interoperability of System Protection Software,” as we present with Oncor Electric.
In this presentation, we will discuss how interoperability between system protection software packages provides a sophisticated process to efficiently produce relay settings, seamlessly interchange data between software packages, and simplify NERC PRC-027-1 R1 and R2 compliance requirements. We will present a case study of system protection integration at Oncor, describe the methodology employed, and explain the benefits realized.

SARA Demos
SARA (Settings Automation Relay Assistant) is a software tool built for protection engineers that streamlines setting development.
New features of SARA include the following:
- Wide Area Coordination module to perform fully customizable studies on large subsections of grid
- Automated Zone Setting Calibration to optimize and validate reach settings
- Export settings files and reports to external database
- Automatically calculate Testing Point values and export to test set file
