Meet Our New Engineering Intern
SynchroGrid is excited to welcome Cedric Pannell as our Engineering Intern! Cedric’s eagerness to learn and his ability to ask insightful questions, actively listen, and continuously improve make him a great addition to our team.
Originally from Goddard, a suburb of Wichita, Kansas, Cedric moved to College Station to pursue his education. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University in 2024 and plans to return in Fall 2025 to pursue a master’s degree in electrical engineering. Cedric’s interest with electrical engineering stems from the idea that “we use a fundamental force of nature to power our lives! It is an endlessly fascinating and magical thing to study.”
Cedric’s passion for the power industry was inspired by a visit to a hospital in Bunia, Democratic Republic of Congo. The hospital provides critical healthcare to those in need but struggles with unreliable and costly electricity. This experience highlighted for Cedric the power industry’s vital role in economic and environmental development, both in the U.S. and globally. With new technology created to revolutionize grid operations for the first time in decades, Cedric is excited to contribute to this dynamic and impactful field.
What drew Cedric to SynchroGrid was the strong collaboration between our software development and engineering consulting teams, reflecting a shared commitment to quality and continuous improvement. He is eager to learn from the team, enhance his skills, and grow both professionally and personally. Cedric’s career goals include passing the Power PE exam, earning his master’s degree, and learning as much as possible from those around him. He is also looking forward to deepening his understanding of the world and himself.
Outside of work and academics, Cedric enjoys reading, playing board games, hiking, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Welcome to the team, Cedric! We’re excited to have you on board.
