SynchroGrid performed an arc flash analysis on the electrical distribution system for a wind farm to ensure it complied with NFPA 70E. The study was executed to determine the incident energy levels for 345kV, 34.5kV, and 0.69kV equipment, as well as 208 V AC panels and 125 V DC panels. SynchroGrid engineers performed a flawless arc flash hazard analysis using ETAP 18.1.1 software.
We made arc flash mitigation recommendation when the incident energy exposures were greater than 40 cal/cm2, as mandated by NFPA 70E to ensure employee safety.
